The Mission of the Stanly County Historic Preservation Commission and Museum is to research, record, conserve, and interpret the history of Stanly County, North Carolina. In addition to supporting the preservation of historic architecture, cemeteries, and sites throughout the county, the HPC conserves and displays hundreds of artifacts and historic documents.

In 2007 the HPC welcomed more than 6000 visitors to the Museum free of charge. Please help us maintain these invaluable services by becoming a member or renewing your tax-deductible membership today. All membership dues and donations are deposited into the Stanly County Historic Preservation Commission’s Foundation—a 501c3, non-profit association dedicated to preserving the history of Stanly County.

Members receive our quarterly newsletter, The Historian, receive invitations to exhibit openings and events, and receive a 10% discount in the Museum’s Gift Shop.
